Roz Purcell is a bestselling cookery writer, host of the Bite Back Podcast, creator of the Hike Life community, and star of the wellness scene, with over 650k fans across her platforms.

A country girl from Tipperary, Roz first came to prominence in Ireland when she won Miss Universe but it wasn't until she quit modelling and launched the hugely popular food blog, Natural Born Feeder, that her career really took off.

She re-learnt her passion for cooking and eating food, banishing thoughts of deprivation and focusing on enjoyment. She also educated herself on her food choices, gaining a deeper understanding of what she should be eating pre- and post-workout, with a particular focus on getting her nutrition predominantly from her veggies. She began posting her recipes and workout tips on her website and quickly realised that there was huge demand for the kind of knowledge and inspiration she could offer.

Her childhood on her parents’ farm - surrounded by nature and forever in the kitchen with her grandmother, cooking with local ingredients - still underpins her approach to her health: balancing cooking and exercising has never been a chore, it’s just a way of life.

And her passion for fitness has seen her complete an Ironman and has also lead to the recent launch of her hiking community which Roz has started to help encourage young people to get outdoors and off their phone.

This year, Roz launched her podcast Bite Back, which gained over 200,000 downloads in the first 8 weeks. Roz and her guests get frank about their personal and ever-changing journeys towards self love and acceptance. As the body positivity movement takes full flight, Bite Back puts pleasure back on your plate, exploring why numbers on a scale doesn’t and shouldn’t define us, and how amazing our bodies really are.

2020 is a big year for Roz with the launch of her third cookery book out in January.
