Rachel Ama

Rachel Ama is a power-house of vegan inspiration, with two books under her belt.

Her first book ‘Rachel Ama’s Vegan Eats’ was published in June 2019 by Ebury press, and her second book ‘One Pot, Three Ways: Save Time With Vibrant, Versatile, Vegan Recipes’ by Yellow Kite in August 2021.

Rachel knows the London vegan scene inside-out and is constantly searching for additional international flavour combinations, and takes inspiration from both her Caribbean and African roots.

Rachel made the decision to go vegan 8 years ago. Almost immediately Rachel’s digestive health improved, as did her passion for plants and her interest in cooking. She believes that vegan food does not need to be compromised on either taste or nutrition. Rachel prides herself on hunting down the very best of everything in the vegan world – including natural hair and beauty products – so her followers don’t have to.

Since launching her YouTube channel in September 2017 Rachel has amassed almost 720,000 subscribers and over 314K followers on Instagram, all hungry for her simple, affordable and delicious vegan recipes and recommendations. Rachel has featured in two YouTube Originals series: ‘Seat At The Table’ and Simon Frederick’s ‘The Outsiders’. In January 2022 Rachel collaborated with up-and-coming musician, Pip Millett, on a vegan food truck giving over 100 people vegan Caribbean food for Veganuary before they watched Pip Millett’s live show.

Rachel shares everything she finds with warmth and humour – welcoming everyone, whatever their food beliefs, to give the vegan life a go – preferably with the tunes turned up LOUD.
